Researcher and COO
Jan van Rijswijk
I am a researcher specializing in neurodiversity in the workplace, with a particular emphasis on relationships and group dynamics. Alongside these academic activities, I serve as the COO of a software company, which combination allows me to bridge academic inquiry with real-world application.
A neurodiverse world
We all think differently due to the natural diversity of our cognition, shaped by genetics, environment, and life experiences. Neurodiversity is the idea that neurological differences such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others are part of the normal variation of human cognition instead of problems or disorders. In a world that often assumes one right way of thinking, learning, and working, neurodiversity challenges us to take another perspective and expand our understanding of talent and what it means to thrive. My research focuses on the relational dynamics of neurodiversity in the workplace, exploring how it can be better understood, valued, and supported.
